About Us

Woodcraft is Lifecraft.

Woodcraft is a philosophy of life, a different approach to the outer world and a method of creating a personal inner world.  Recreation, conservation, and the development of avocation are its goals.  It stresses outdoor life and activity.

Based on the philosophy and work of Ernest Thompson Seton, an author and one of the founders of the Scouting movement, Woodcraft organization are found around the world in a wide range of organizations. Once every four years, they gather for an International Woodcraft Gathering to exchange best practices, make new friends, and have fun.
